Emily Muskovitz Sweet is a veteran social impact strategist and gender equity leader with over 25 years of experience launching initiatives that drive positive change and organizational growth. 

In her current role as Vice President of Social Impact at OpenComp, Emily established and leads OPEN Imperative (Organizations for Pay Equity Now), which grew from an idea into  a coalition of 400+ CEOs, investors, and business leaders in its first year. OPEN Imperative members gain access to best practice resources and assessment tools to help them adhere to new pay transparency regulations and close their gender pay gaps through data driven action and outcomes.  

Prior to joining OpenComp, Emily held numerous leadership roles in the philanthropic, nonprofit and public sectors. Emily was the Director of Strategic & External Affairs at the Lefkofsky Family Foundation (LFF), overseeing the Human Rights philanthropic portfolio, and served as the Executive Director of JUF’s Public Affairs Department, leading government relations, advocacy and inter-faith coalitions to advance issues ranging from health care access to refugee resettlement. Emily also served as the Executive Director of the Jewish Women’s Foundation of Chicago (JWF), the largest in the country, and was the Project Director for the City of Chicago Mayor’s Office on Domestic Violence, where she led efforts to develop a comprehensive and coordinated response to gender-based violence throughout the city. 

Emily is a national Vice President of the National Council of Jewish Women, a 130 year old civil rights organization. She was a 2013 Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow and past recipient of the Jewish Federation of Chicago’s Samuel A. Goldsmith Award. Emily was a featured speaker at the 2023 White House Business Roundtable on Pay Equity, and is a frequent speaker, writer, and podcast guest. She lives in Chicago with her husband and daughters.
