Johanna Jones is the President and CEO of Information Technology Senior Management Forum (ITSMF). ITSMF is a global nonprofit organization committed to ensuring that Black Technology executives have barrier free access to executive leadership roles in Fortune 500, 100 and 50 companies. Jones was a 2022 awardee at the Minority Business Development Administration’s Tribute to Women Business Leaders. Jones recently co-authoring a book on leadership, Understanding the Game of Executive Leadership, Strategies to Win.

Jones has more than twenty years of fundraising, marketing, communications and executive leadership experience in nonprofits. Jones’s expertise includes building and growing nonprofit organizations, fundraising, developing strategic partnerships and communications and marketing strategies. Jones has personally raised over $50 million for nonprofit organizations addressing poverty, homelessness, mental illness, youth development, education and career pathways.

Jones has extensive professional experience with developing comprehensive regional strategies around workforce development opportunities for African-Americans.  This includes creating career pipelines, and leadership opportunities.  Jones designed an IT career pathway at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville for nontraditional Students. Jones served as the Director of Workforce Development and Strategic Partnerships at the University.

Jones previously served as the Vice President of Development and Advancement at Places for People. Places For People is a nonprofit that focuses on behavioral health and substance use treatment for youth, adults and families. Jones led the organization to raise $7 million to build a new community health center. Jones has held several positions in executive leadership in nonprofit organizations and in higher education that includes serving as Executive Director of the Jackie Joyner Kersee Foundation.

Jones has served on several nonprofit Boards in St. Louis and regionally which include the Region 7 Federal Reserve Bank Community Development Advisory Board and the Illinois Facility Fund Advisory Board, Epworth Children & Family Services.  She is active with Central Baptist Church, Jack and Jill, and the Jabberwock Rites of Passage Program for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. St. Louis Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter. Jones enjoys spending time with her husband and their six daughters, one son and beloved dog Judah.

Jones earned her Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Jackson State University, and holds a Juris Doctorate from St. Louis University School of Law
