Kelly Skalicky is the President & CEO of Stearns Bank, N.A., a privately owned national bank with $3.1 billion in assets, headquartered in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Under Kelly’s leadership, Stearns Bank continues to earn top ranking as one of the nation’s highest performing banks; holds a multi-year ranking on American Banker’s Best Banks to Work For list; and earned the Great Place to Work certification.

She earned her juris doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law and has practiced in the areas of business litigation, commercial law, Indian law, and commercial transactions. Kelly joined Stearns Bank as legal counsel and was designated General Counsel in 2011. She was promoted to President in 2017 and added CEO responsibilities in 2019.

One of Kelly’s priorities has been to ensure that Stearns Bank’s leadership reflects its workforce, which is composed of 68% women. Today, over 85% of the board seats at Stearns Bank are occupied by women, and women hold more than 64% of the senior leadership positions. This level of gender diversity in the banking industry is uncommon and sets Stearns Bank apart as a leader in promoting gender equality in the workplace.
