Josephine Moran is a seasoned financial services executive with over twenty-five years of leadership experience across community banking, investment services, residential and consumer lending, business banking, and customer experience. As President and CEO of Ledyard National Bank, she leads the strategic direction of a trusted financial institution headquartered in Hanover, New Hampshire. She is a member of the Board as well as the Executive Committee.

Before joining Ledyard, Moran held several senior leadership roles at prominent financial institutions. She served as EVP, Chief Corporate Services and Consumer Lending Officer at Provident Bank, where she also previously led Retail Banking. Her career includes executive roles at Columbia Bank, Webster Bank, Santander Bank and Wells Fargo (Wachovia), where she consistently demonstrated a strong ability to drive growth, lead high-performing teams, and implement transformative strategies.

Moran is deeply committed to education and mentorship. She serves on the Board of Governors at the University of New Haven, where she earned both her Executive MBA and M.S. in Finance and Financial Services. She also chairs the Pompea College of Business Advisory Board, is the Vice Chair of the Student Affairs Committee, and is the founder of the University’s Women’s Leadership Council, which supports mentorship and professional development for female students.

Josephine Moran serves on the Board of Directors of the Boston Federal Reserve, where she contributes her expertise as a member of the Audit Committee. Her local leadership includes active roles on the New Hampshire Bankers Association’s Board of Directors, Legislative Committee, and Community Bankers Association. She also serves on the Boards of the New Hampshire Business and Industry Association (BIA), the Upper Valley Corporate Council, and chairs the Granite State United Way Board of Directors. Nationally, Josephine represents New Hampshire on the American Bankers Association’s Government Relations Committee and serves on the leadership team of the ABA Women’s CEO Peer Leadership Group.

Her leadership has been recognized both locally and nationally— she was recognized as one of NH Business’ 200 in 2024 and has been recognized as a Top Women led by Business NH in ’23 and ’24, she was named one of Industry Era’s “Top Ten Women Leaders in 2020” and has been featured in publications such as Entrepreneur Magazine, Independent Banker Magazine, Mid-Atlantic Banking, and Thrive Global.

Moran also holds a B.S. in Marketing and Management from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and maintains Series 7 and 63 securities licenses
