Joyce Salzberg
A recognized leader and innovator in early intervention, Joyce Salzberg has over 40 years of experience in the fields of healthcare and developmental disabilities. She is the longest-serving member of New Jersey’s State Interagency Coordinating Council (SICC), having been a member since 1998 and chaired several sub-committees. Prior to co-founding Sunny Days, she held various leadership roles in the field of developmental disabilities, including serving as Associate Executive Director of United Cerebral Palsy of New Jersey, where she oversaw its early intervention programs.
Ms. Salzberg has served on numerous charitable boards, oversight committees, and industry advocacy groups. She holds a BA and MSW from Temple University, where she was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus and inducted into the Gallery of Success in 2011. She was also inducted into Temple University’s League for Entrepreneurial Women in 2013. In recognition of her contributions, she was awarded an honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters from Temple University, the first ever given by the College of Liberal Arts.
As a result of her $1 million alumna gift to Temple University, “The Joyce K. Salzberg Center for Professional Development” was established. The center was completed and has been open since 2022, providing invaluable resources and support for students’ professional growth.
