Maryann Pagano

With more than two decades of customer support and leadership experience, as well as a proven track record of driving successful relationships, Maryann Pagano serves as the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of BlackHawk Data. In her role, Maryann is responsible for establishing and nurturing the business’s vendor-partner ecosystem and distribution relationships and aligning those with the goals of BlackHawk Data’s customers to deliver exceptional client experience.

​Maryann combines her years of customer service expertise along with her many years of leadership knowledge to make impactful and meaningful decisions that drives the business forward.  From hiring new employees that align with the company’s core values to helping develop current employees’ skills, customer service abilities as well as building their own brand.  All decisions geared to benefit and align with a better customer experience.  Maryann also serves as the lead for the organization’s sales team and oversees all its marketing activities, extending BlackHawk Data’s position in the market and enhancing its capabilities to provide customers with the solutions they need to realize success. 

BlackHawk Data was founded in 2018 with just a vision of what was to come. The idea was to start an IT company that empowers its employees to provide high-touch service to their clients without being blocked by management. Knowing the odds: 20% of small businesses fail before their first year. As a woman-owned business in the IT industry, BlackHawk Data faced an even greater challenge: Less than 10% of executive tech roles are held by women.

Today, BlackHawk Data has more than 40 employees, has far surpassed revenue expectations.  With its corporate headquarters in New York City, NY, BlackHawk Data also has offices in both Nassau and Suffolk County on Long Island, NY as well as a warehouse, staging facility, and Network Operations Center in New Jersey.  The company continues to see significant growth both in staffing and revenue.   

BlackHawk Data is proud to be recognized as one of CRN’s Top 500 Solutions Providers and one of their Fastest Growing 150.    Maryann has been recognized by The Channel Company as one of their Top Women of the Channel, awarded the Female Entrepreneur Award by the US SBA, Leading Women Entrepreneurs (LWE) and Intrapreneurs of New Jersey as well as many others.  

Maryann continues to give back to other women within Technology by participating in industry peer groups and mentorship programs.   Maryann has created a space and way to give back and coach others by offering quarterly hybrid events that feature other women within the industry.   Our goal is to encourage others to believe in themselves and their abilities, as Maryann states.  Maryann has been speaking with different organizations to help mentor and guide other women to take a leap in their careers, with power organizations such as Cisco Systems, the Long Island Association, The Port Authority of NY & NJ, Berkeley College and more.
