Renee Bovelle

Dr. Bovelle is the founder & CEO of Advanced Eyecare Medical Center, PA “dba” Envision Eye & Laser Center – currently serving over 20,000+ lives. She is pleased to be named a 2021 Washingtonian TOP DOCTOR by her peers.  She holds academic appointments at several universities and trains medical students and residents.

As a physician executive specializing in cybersecurity, she has a unique understanding of the cybersecurity vulnerabilities in healthcare systems and the fiscal benefits of cybersolutions for threat reduction and mitigation. She collaborates with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and end-users, and apply her expertise in compliance, cost-benefit analysis, strategy and policy formation; to help her clients reduce operational, reputational, and financial loss. In addition, speaking internationally, and nationally on these issues, Dr. Bovelle created the 1st Cybersecurity CME for regional and national organizations. 

Additionally, Dr. Bovelle maintains national leadership roles in medical organizations and has received awards for this work. She is a board member of several organization that actively promote womens leadership, DEI and health equity. Additionally, she authored a chapter in “Navigating A Triple Pandemic: Volume 3: Claiming Our Healing & Embracing a New Normal”.

A board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Bovelle graduated from Wellesley College and UCLA /Drew School of Medicine.  She completed an ophthalmic residency at Yale University and a Cornea / Refractive Fellowship at LSU Eye Center, and a Master’s in Cybersecurity Strategy and Information Management from GWU.
