Tara Giunta

Tara Giunta is a recognized risk, strategy and compliance expert, advising boards and management on identifying and mitigating geopolitical, legal/regulatory, human rights, sustainability and reputational risks. Ms. Giunta recently retired as Global Co-Chair of the ESG & Sustainable Finance Group and as a Member of the Investigations and White Collar Defense practice of Paul Hastings LLP. Ms. Giunta is Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Invest Ahead, a national non-partisan forum of more than 90 institutional investors, state treasurers, corporations, private equity firms, and others representing more than $8 trillion in assets under management who believe that highly competent and well-composed boards are essential to corporate performance and American competitiveness.

She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Faith & Politics Institute, a nonpartisan organization that cultivates mutual respect, moral reflection, increased understanding, and honest conversation among political leaders to advance productive discourse and constructive collaboration. She is also a Board Member of Human Rights First, a nonpartisan international human rights organization based whose work centers on four main issue areas: authoritarianism, extremism, systemic injustice and the abuse of technology. Ms. Giunta holds a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and a law degree from Columbus School of Law at Catholic University of America. She lives in Maryland with her husband and is the proud mother of two daughters, a son and a daughter-in-law.
