Maria Black is President and CEO of ADP, a leading global technology company providing human capital management (HCM) solutions. Appointed in 2023, Maria serves as ADP’s seventh CEO since its 1949 founding. With ADP’s extensive, unique data and trusted expertise – relied on by over one million clients – Maria is committed to providing employers with an empowered view into the future of work and the holistic, insights-driven support they need to enable the workforce of tomorrow.

Maria’s vision is rooted in innovation and seeks to ensure employers and employees who use ADP’s products remain at the heart of each step forward. Throughout her tenure at ADP, Maria has strived to provide businesses of all sizes – from small business to global enterprise – with the solutions and expertise that will help them achieve success. From joining ADP in 1996 as a sales associate, to leading critical growth initiatives throughout many areas of the business, and most recently working to simplify and modernize service delivery to clients in a comprehensive way, Maria’s experience across the entirety of ADP’s global portfolio has given her a unique lens into the world of work and the deep knowledge to help ADP clients navigate change.

Maria shares her passion for progress through programs supporting women in leadership and veterans. She serves as chair and trustee of the ADP Foundation. She is also a member of the Business Council, Business Roundtable, the Wall Street Journal CEO Council, and the American Heart Association’s CEO Roundtable. She serves on the Board of Directors of Delta Air Lines. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and international affairs from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
