Jennifer Jones is an operational leader and project management professional with almost twenty years of experience in the financial services and insurance industry. She is known for her ability to drive results and to find ways to make the complex simple.

Jennifer currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Genworth’s US Life companies, which provide services for ~2.6MM life, long term care, and annuity customers. She is responsible for an integrated Operations and Technology organization, focused on operational capabilities and enabling technologies to support customer experience, enterprise services, data collection/analysis, and enhanced processes. Her organization includes over 1,000 individual contributors and managers, in addition to contracted resources who support certain outsourced processes. They are focused on delivering high-touch service interactions for customers, while leveraging technology to accelerate strategic objectives. Jennifer is currently leading a multi-year modernization of our technology ecosystem, which includes transformational efforts associated with Genworth’s infrastructure, data, customer engagement platforms, and talent strategy.

Jennifer started her career at Genworth in Richmond, Virginia in 2005, after graduating with a degree in Marketing Management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. She joined Genworth shortly after the IPO from GE as part of the Marketing, Sales, and Operations Leadership Development Program. She was attracted to the opportunity to be a part of a Marketing organization focused on building new brand, but quickly found her passion in Operations.

During her earlier years at Genworth, Jennifer held multiple roles in Operations including overseeing their outsourced processes, variable annuity operations, complaint handling, problem resolution, and call quality programs. Jennifer also led the Project Management Office (PMO) for over eight years. During her tenure in that role, she was responsible for managing the enterprise portfolio of projects, which gave her exposure to critical initiatives across functions. Some of the most notable initiatives included the opportunity to work on new product introductions, claims transformations, actuarial system conversions, new service offerings, and inforce management improvements. Jennifer also led the business negotiations for multiple outsourcing initiatives and worked closely on our supplier management processes for the organization.

Outside of work, Jennifer dedicates her time to her family, as well as volunteering with multiple youth focused organizations.
