During nearly three decades of global marketing and risk management, Marta has been at the center of value creation in high-risk and highly regulated industries. She has led some of the world’s most admired companies through several industry-changing mergers, acquisitions, major crises, ESG, brand evolutions, and product commercialization. A journey that has taken her around the world, including assignments in Beijing, China, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and B2B manufacturing in Mexico. Using her field sales influence in medical devices from Medtronic and pivoting from sales at Boeing early in her career, she started the strategic sales account initiative at Johnson Controls. Leading the effort to improve channels to market and increase sales effectiveness within critical accounts. She has delivered bottom-line results in highly complex and regulated industries.

Directly involved in the strategy, execution, and integration of seven acquisitions in eighteen months at Westinghouse, the acquisition of Tyco at Johnson Controls ($11B) and McDonnell Douglas at Boeing ($13B). Marta is a Global Chief Marketing, Communication, and Brand Officer for Westinghouse Electric Company, most recently. She was an integral part of an executive team that spearheaded the clean energy transformation. In this position, she defined and substantially increased the equity of the company’s brand in the rapidly changing sector and was deeply involved in the sales process and leadership of the company.

Before joining Westinghouse, she held executive positions with some of the world’s most admired Global Fortune 100 companies, including The Boeing Company, Johnson Controls, and Medtronic. Responsible for CSR combined with a passion for a more diverse business environment benefiting companies and consumers for generations to come. Ms. Newhart has a bachelor’s degree in international business and international communications from the University of Washington in Seattle and an MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu. She completed the Digital Directors Network Systemic Cyber Risk Governance certification for corporate directors.
