Alyssa K. Derrick is the Programs and Marketing Manager at the Women’s Business Collaborative (WBC).
Derrick is a gender, diversity, equity, and inclusion professional based in Washington D.C. and has worked alongside leadership, employees, and executives to execute programming and events, implement inclusive business processes, support and develop underrepresented populations, and support active partnerships and community-building.
Alyssa earned a B.A. in Political Science with an international concentration from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the University at Albany, in December 2017. Before joining the WBC, Derrick was a Research Assistant at the Wilson Center’s Global Women’s Leadership Initiative and held several roles at AmLaw 50 corporate law firms in Human Resources and DEI, aligning with her passion for good governance and promoting women’s representation and career development cross-sector.
Derrick is also an active alumna in the Semester in Washington program as a mentor and guest panelist for students and served as the 2020 Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion of the Women’s Information Network in Washington, D.C., a social, political, and professional network for pro-choice Democratic women.
