Jan Adams

Jan Adams is a distinguished entrepreneur, retired U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sergeant, and community leader whose career is defined by service, opportunity, and impact. After 24 years of military service, she founded JMA Solutions in 2005 to deliver innovative, high-quality consulting services to the federal government. Under her leadership, JMA has grown to more than 100 professionals, over 40% of them veterans, supporting the Federal Aviation Administration and other federal agencies in program management, engineering, air traffic management, and training.

Jan brings that same mission-driven leadership to the business and sports worlds. She serves as President & CEO of Ideal Electrical Supply Corporation and President & CEO of Blue Lady Sports and Entertainment. She is also a proud co-owner of DC Power FC, Washington, D.C.’s professional women’s soccer club in the USL Super League. Expanding her commitment to women’s professional sports, Jan is helping bring investors and prospective owners to Major League Volleyball’s D.C. team, which will begin play in January 2027. Across both sports, she champions the power of athletics to create opportunity, advance equity, inspire young people, and strengthen communities throughout the nation’s capital.

Her commitment to service extends well beyond the workplace and the pitch. Jan serves on nonprofit boards including the African American Civil War Memorial Foundation and the Thelma D. Jones Breast Cancer Fund, and she supports youth and education initiatives such as the D.C. Adopt-a-School Program. Her leadership has earned national and regional recognition, including the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, the EY Entrepreneur of The Year® Mid-Atlantic Award, induction into the Washington, D.C. Hall of Fame, and features in O, The Oprah Magazine, Forbes, and Entrepreneur. She is also the recipient of an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters in Leadership & Global Impact from Wealth Elevation Christian University.

At the heart of Jan’s work is a belief that leadership should open doors for others. Whether building businesses, supporting veterans, investing in women’s professional soccer, or serving her community, she leads with integrity and a deep commitment to lasting impact. Jan is the proud mother of two, grandmother of seven, and great- grandmother of nine.
