Roseann Sunwoo is CEO and Designer of Clara Sunwoo, an ageless women’s lifestyle brand designed by a NYC mother & daughter team known for perfect fit. Clara Sunwoo stands for making women FEEL good.
Growing up with parents who immigrated to the US from Seoul Korea with $1000, a suitcase, and a dream, Roseann became a natural apprentice. Trips to the fabric store were weekly family outings. She went on to design for friends & family and eventually became a buyer learning the business side of fashion and the need for better fit. Fashion was dominated by men and as women who were also consumers, she saw a gap in the market.
While attending NYU, a 10 piece capsule collection was created and debuted at a NYC trade show in 1997. As founder, Roseann was head of sales, head of marketing, head of production, and a leader in business growth. She is known for innovating the signature fabric “liquid leather.” As fashion companies went across seas, Roseann believed keeping production local was key to quality control, fast turn arounds & business growth. She decided to cut & sew in the USA. Roseann grew Clara Sunwoo into a national success with independent boutiques in all 50 states. The designers were featured on the Today Show and is often seen on Ambush Makeover with Jill Martin.
