Dr. Shirley Zhao is Cofounder and CEO of Bennu Bio Therapeutics, a high profile biotech company focus on gene and cell therapy. She is a seasoned leader with P&L experience and success in the pharmaceutical and biotech businesses, her career has led her to work in China, Asia Pacific and US, driven by the passion to bring the best healthcare to patients and to win in the marketplace. Over the past two decades, she has been working in both multinational and local biopharma companies with over 12 years China country Manager experience in charge of entire China operation at Cstone, BMS, Allergan, Genzyme, where she demonstrated strong entrepreneurship and leadership by successfully build the company from scratch to the leading business, instrument of successfully launched over 30 products and many of them become leading brands. Dr. Zhao is devoted to the development of next generation of leaders, she acts as a coach for many executives and startup company CEOs, also as founder/cofounder and sponsor for multiple women leadership organizations, she is a frequent speaker and panelist for SheHero, She Power, WAG, AmCham Shanghai to inspire business women to pursuit life potential, she served as Board of Governor in the Shanghai American Chamber of commerce in 2015. Dr. Zhao is originally from China, and started her career as an OB/GYN doctor, she received MD training from TongJi University in China, and obtained her MBA degree from the university of Leicester, United Kingdom.
