Annie Callanans professional journey, spanning three continents and as many decades, has centered on the core tactic of architecting and driving enterprise value creation through the innovative application of tech-enabled products and services across the knowledge ecosystem. Each of her leadership engagements has served to inspire a growing curiosity and passion for technologies capable of enabling positive human impact across a diverse array of business models and sectors.
Prior to joining EBSCO Information Services, Annie served for six years as Chief Executive Officer at Taylor & Francis, a global leader in scholarly communications and scientific publishing, with a mission to democratize knowledge and validate the experts and evidence-based truths that drive human progress.
Prior leadership roles included CEO of Quantros, a healthcare solutions and patient safety software and analytics company; COO at ProQuest, provider of specialized information resources and technologies for library, education, and business markets; CEO of Bowker, a global leader in bibliographic information management; and COO of the Business Technology Group at United Business Media, a multi-national media company.
Annie has also had the honor of serving on numerous boards, including the UK Publishers Association (PA), where she was President and Treasurer; The Association of American Publishers (AAP); the International Standard Book Numbers (ISBN) Association; and Wall Street Network Solutions, a high-performance data and network infrastructure company named to 2013 Inc. 500s list of fastest growing companies.
Annie is a Summa Cum Laude graduate with a B.A. and B.F.A. in English and Art History from FDU, and an MBA in Finance from NYU.
