Kathy Burns is Chief Digital Officer for Ryan Specialty and Chief Executive Officer of The Connector, Ryan Specialty’s automated small commercial platform. With over 25 years’ experience in the risk and insurance technology space, Kathy is focused on creating client-enabling technologies that contribute to Ryan Specialty’s growth and success. Prior to joining Ryan Specialty, Kathy was CEO and Corporate Director of Ventiv Technology (formally Aon eSolutions), a leader in claims and risk management software. Kathy strategically led Aon eSolutions – and subsequent Ventiv Technology – through rapid year-over-year revenue growth. As a result of Kathy’s leadership, eSolutions won Aon’s prestigious Business of the Year award in 2013. Prior to her role at Aon, Kathy was COO of Client Operations for Marsh’s CS STARS business unit (now Marsh ClearSight). Kathy began her career as an account executive at Risk Sciences Group. Kathy has a B.A. in Political Science from Northwestern University. She was a recipient of Business Insurance’s inaugural Women to Watch award in 2006.
