Senior Vice President, WBENC Strategic Financial Services and WBE Engagement
As Senior Vice President of Strategic Financial Services and WBE Engagement, Laura is leading the development of the new Financial Resource Center, known as the WBENC Financial Center of Excellence. The Financial Center of Excellence, whose model is called LIFT, is creating a new pivot to permanent capability. It is an integrated education and funding program for women entrepreneurs providing comprehensive financial support and resources, including education, coaching, networking, and funding opportunities.
During the pandemic Laura and her team created WeTHRIVE, a virtual executive education program. Over eight-weeks WBNEC certified women business enterprises attend virtual learning sessions across five disciplines and the program features a combination of learning and peer interaction. In addition, Laura with her team manage several signature programs focused on WBE Engagement including WBE Stars, the Women’s Enterprise Forum, the Tuck-WBENC programs, Top Corporations, Matchmaker, and the Collegiate Accelerator. Prior to her current role, Laura was accountable for WBENC Certification and WBENC’s strategic partnerships with its Regional Partner Organization Network.
Before coming to WBENC in 2018, Laura was a senior leader in the Global Supply Chain organization at Pitney Bowes with additional leadership roles in Finance and Customer Service. Laura played a key role in the creation of the enterprise-wide Procurement function at Pitney Bowes and was accountable for Indirect spend as well as leadership of the Supplier Diversity program.
Laura is a former Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. Laura is a William J. Alcorn Leadership Award recipient and is in the AIDC Women’s Business Enterprise Hall of Fame. Laura lives in Connecticut with her two children. Laura is active locally in Girl Scouts and in the High School Marching Band program.
