Karla is a Relationship Manager in Commercial Banking Market Coverage serving Mid-Corporate clients in the Northeast market, joining Wells Fargo in January 2021.
Karla’s previous experience is in the debt capital markets including deal origination, structuring, underwriting, distribution and trading. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Karla was a Director in loan syndicate, sales and trading for BBVA Securities Inc. covering the bank’s U.S. market activity across all sectors and market segments (including leveraged finance, investment grade, project finance and commercial real estate) with a focus on the middle market leveraged finance space. She began her career at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, Inc. on the syndicated and leveraged finance team in a structuring and origination role with a healthcare industry concentration.
Karla earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics with a minor in financial economics from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN graduating magna cum laude. She holds FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses.
Karla currently resides in Greenwich, CT with her husband and son.
