Angela Getter

Angela Y. Getter is an accomplished higher education administrator and professional with extensive experience in academic advancement, fundraising, strategic communications and organizational development. With over 25+ years of experience, her career includes a diverse mix of capital campaigns, major gift program development
and STEM Corporate Engagement. She is currently Chief Development Officer at Life University and has held executive leadership roles at Spelman College, Jackson State University, and others. Raising more than $150 million during her career, one major accomplishment was serving as Managing Director for the Kresge Foundation HBCU
Initiative, an $18 million project, focused on building sustainability for HBCUs development infrastructures.

She attended Pace University and holds a B.A. in Organizational Leadership from Morris Brown College. She also received her CFRM from the Lilly School of Philanthropy and completed Post-Graduate Certification in Fundraising at Dartmouth University. Recently appointed to the Women of Color in Philanthropy and the
Lamplighters Higher Education Roundtable, she is a member of the African American Development Officers, Council for Advancement and Support of Education, and the Association for Fundraising Professionals. She serves as Board Member for the 5 Scholars Strong Foundation, Great Minds in STEM and the Ritz Chamber Music Society.
