Helaine Suval is an experienced and collaborative board member and digital leader recognized for building omnichannel strategies that deliver sustainable and robust growth trajectories. Helaine founded Suval Consultants in 2011, a successful consulting practice that advises the C- Suite on designing and executing omni-channel strategies for retail and CPG brands. In 2018, Helaine co-founded WHYZ Partners, a boutique advisory firm offering a holistic approach to helping retail and consumer goods businesses looking to accelerate their growth trajectory. What underpins her thought leadership is the depth and breadth of her experience building, operating (including full P&L responsibility), and growing businesses ranging from multi-billion $ global brands (e.g., Macys, Avon, Bloomingdales), to start-up companies (e.g., living.com, Alterre, Sportiqe, Makeena).
Helaine serves on the advisory board for Makeena, a female-founded, certified B Corp Helaine has served as a member of the Board of Directors for Lenox, On Campus Marketing, and Ashley Stewart, Helaine leverages her deep understanding of the competitive landscape,
identifying growth strategies focused on delivering customer centric initiatives, while assessing and mitigating risks. Her board experience includes successful emergence from a bankruptcy, the strategic sale of a heritage brand and CEO succession planning.
Helaine actively participates in pro-business mentoring, advising NextGen start-ups and advising company founders though XRC Labs fashion tech accelerator, as well as mentoring emerging female founders and leaders through UJA. She also serves on the non-profit boards
for UJA-Federation of New York (the world’s largest local philanthropy, funding hundreds of nonprofit agencies, local and global, tackling food insecurity, social service needs, and advocating for government dollars for people in need across NYC) and DOROT (a nonprofit
organization addressing the challenges of an aging population, serving clients with a diverse range of programs and services through intergenerational connections with volunteers of all ages).
